On September 4^th, 2007 Gear Drop opened the doors of North America’s first hockey equipment drying and storage service. Located on the ground floor of Burnaby 8 Rinks, the hockey haven of Metro Vancouver, this service is set up to be simple, dependable and convenient.

Gear Drop evolved as the owner’s solution to her husband’s over sized and smelly hockey bag. Anyone who lives with a hockey player understands that the equipment takes up a lot of space and when it is being aired out the smell is foul. This is a very common problem that has been discussed by wives, girlfriends, husbands, boyfriends and roommates of hockey players for years. Gear Drop is the answer.

> Gear Drop is conveniently located on the main floor of Burnaby 8 Rinks.
> A Gear Drop customer comes prior to their game to pick up their hockey bag and returns it after their game is complete.
> All equipment is properly aired out (using industrial fans, dehumidifiers, an ozone generator and HEPA filters) and stored. This air purification system reduces odors and destroys some mold, mildew and bacteria with no harmful chemicals or scents left behind.
